Future Fund’s 25th anniversary celebration at Elm & Bain was more than a milestone. It was a joyful chance to reflect on 25 years of the shared belief that Greensboro’s future grows stronger when we invest in it together. Members, supporters, nonprofit partners, sponsors, and friends gathered to celebrate the lasting impact Future Fund has made through collective giving and to honor the organizations shaping our community today.
At the heart of the evening was the recognition of Future Fund’s 2025 grant recipients and grantee partners, including Junior Achievement of the Triad, She Built This City, New Arrivals Institute, North Carolina African Services Coalition, StepUp Greensboro, and Triad Local First. Their presence was a powerful reminder that every dollar raised and every hour volunteered helps create meaningful change across Greensboro.
Special guest Joey Cheek, Olympic gold medalist, humanitarian, and Greensboro native, brought an inspiring sense of purpose to the celebration. His reflections on leadership and on using personal success to serve others resonated deeply with guests and offered a powerful reminder that true impact is measured not only by what we achieve but also by how we choose to give back. In a room filled with people committed to strengthening their community, Joey’s story felt especially meaningful.
Future Festival was made possible by the people who believe in this mission. We are grateful to our sponsors for their generosity, to every guest who supported Future Fund, and to the dedicated volunteers whose hard work made the evening special. Their commitment reflects the spirit that has defined Future Fund for 25 years and will continue shaping its future.
