The Guilford Nonprofit Consortium is a collaborative of nonprofit organizations, large and small, that fosters mutual assistance and support in reaching our shared goals by providing opportunities for education, collaboration, networking, and celebration.
The Community Foundation is a funder and fiscal home for the Consortium. The Weaver Foundation, Cone Health Foundation, Cemala Foundation, Foundation for a Healthy High Point, Hayden-Harman Foundation, Reich Family Foundation, Bryan Foundation, Lincoln Financial, Congdon Family Foundation, and the High Point Community Foundation also support it.
Working together in 2003, the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and Weaver Foundation identified a need for nonprofits to be able to come together, learn together, and receive instruction and guidance from those with more experience in order to overcome challenges and have the best possible chance for success. Thus, the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium was born.
Guilford County nonprofit organizations employ more than 20,000 people. We want these nonprofits to be as successful as possible, not just for the needs which they serve, but also because so many of our community members’ livelihoods depend on it.
The Guilford Nonprofit Consortium helps nonprofits through educational programs, leadership (executive director and board of directors) training, technical support, volunteer programs, and networking events. Nonprofits can turn to the Consortium for everything from pro bono consulting to financial management advice to HR guidance.
