2023 FALL BOARD DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY STARTS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
The Board Development Academy, a program offered through the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium, is designed to meet the needs of new, prospective, and existing nonprofit board members to help maximize their impact in serving our community. Participants in the seven-session program focus on relevant topics related to board service that can be put to immediate use. See below for the full schedule and presenters.
Program participants will leave the Board Development Academy with:
· Practical knowledge and best practices to strengthen the governance of nonprofit organizations
· New connections to local experts in key aspects of nonprofit board service
· New relationships and a network of peers who are interested in board service and committed to the success of local nonprofit organizations
· Resources that can be used today and referred to in the future as you continue to learn and grow as board leaders
The Academy will be held in person at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro (301 North Elm Street, Suite 100) every Tuesday from September 12 through October 24. Dinner will be available starting at 5pm with the program starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 7:30 pm. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking deck.
The cost for Consortium member organizations is $200 per participant (with a limited number of scholarships available), and $300 per participant for non-members.
