CFGG 2011-12 Annual Report: Trina Pratt
Trina Pratt of McLeansville found herself in a position to start over after her son turned 1. But first, she needed training to bring her up to speed on basic professional skills, interviewing tips, refinement of her resume and networking opportunities. She found all of this through the New Choices program, offered by the Women’s Resource Center. In 2011, The Community Foundation’s Women to Women Endowment made a $25,000 grant to New Choices. Recently, Trina started work as an on-call teller at NewBridge Bank.
“I wanted to return to work with my dreams and goals as a vision while also providing for my family,” Trina says. “Most importantly, I also wanted to show my son the importance of hard work and striving for a prosperous career – and doing something rewarding.”
