Apply for a Grant
The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro believes philanthropy can play an important role in improving the quality of life and in helping to build an inclusive, caring and vibrant community. Through gifts our donors make that are unrestricted or targeted to a specific field of interest, we are able to fund dozens of community initiatives each year that are helping us make a difference.
Our community grants target strategic areas of interest:
Community Grants Program
The Community Foundation awards community grants from unrestricted and field-of-interest funds, as allocated by the Board of Directors, to support a wide range of community issues.

Applications for funding are available in mid-October. Applications for membership on the council are available in March.

Building Stronger Neighborhoods
The Building Stronger Neighborhoods program, through neighborhood development and grantmaking, supports Greensboro neighborhoods as they mobilize assets to enhance community quality of life. BSN is supported by the Building Stronger Neighborhoods Coalition: Cemala Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, Cone Health Foundation, Greensboro Public Library, and Weaver Foundation.

Women to Women Fund
Women to Women is Greensboro’s first permanent grantmaking endowment to engage women in impacting the lives of our community’s women and their families. By establishing and growing this permanent funding resource, we will together ensure that Greensboro recognizes and addresses women’s issue now and into the future.
