The Reverend Buck Cochran is a co-founder and the executive director of Peacehaven Community Farm. The farm started in 2007 with the vision of connecting people with special needs to the broader community through the community of a working farm.  Each year, hundreds of garden volunteers, including many with special needs, harvest over 12,000 pounds of produce that are donated to food programs such as the Servant Center, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Church World Services.

In 2014, Peacehaven opened the doors to “Susan’s View”, a residential home that offers dignity and independence to four adults with intellectual disabilities. The farm will eventually welcome 30 residents. As a result of its innovative and compassionate work, Peacehaven was honored as the 2014 Nonprofit of the Year by the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium.

Buck is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Prior to starting Peacehaven he served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Families at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. He is a United States Navy veteran. His warmth, and his passion for Peacehaven’s mission, inspire all he meets.
