Join with your peers to put philanthropy into action

The Community Foundation offers a continuum of options to support your charitable giving throughout your lifetime. Even if you’re not ready to establish your own charitable fund, you can still join with like-minded members of the community to make a difference. Here are just two examples.

The Future Fund

By pooling their resources, emerging leaders who join The Future Fund have a "seat at the table" and can make a far greater impact in the community than they could on their own. They learn about significant issues and make grants that can shape a more promising future. There is a low financial threshold for involvement, with annual membership fees beginning at $50 for those under age 25 and at $125 for those 25 and above.

Teen Grantmaking Council

To help young adults learn the importance of giving back, the Community Foundation has partnered with the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Youth First program and the national Youth Leadership Initiative to form the Teen Grantmaking Council. Teens who participate evaluate proposals and make gifts that are funded by the Foundation. Along the way they learn leadership skills and get a taste of what they can accomplish when they partner with their peers to address community issues.
