FUTURE FUND GRANTMAKING GUIDELINES
Education is a critically important, as evidenced from those who participated in Future Fund’s 2017 grant theme poll. Some of the reasons participants mentioned for choosing education included: budget cuts have made resources for educators minimal and support for students limited; poll participants have children in public school system; education is paramount for economic vitality; other categories that are also affected like workforce development, poverty and overall well-being for individuals are linked to education or lack thereof.
The theme is broad by design because Future Fund is interested in funding innovative and novel approaches to improve: literacy, access to educational resources, college readiness and achievement, early childhood education, K-12 education, literacy, STEM learning, art, economic literacy etc. Projects may be existing but enhanced or integration of services; new; or planning grants.
Future Fund recommends organizations to submit funding requests between $2,500 and $7,500. Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
